I have a 2008 f150 xlt with a 4.6 and auto tranny. Transmission cooling line thru wall leaks 1. Web in short, the f150 has had transmission issues in vehicles made between 2011 to 2013 and 2017 to 2020. It set a fault p0720 and limp mode.
